The title makes it sound like a Squid Game type escape story but coming from the PD and screenwriter combo that produced the mega hit but also mega crazy SBS drama Penthouse and kept it going for three seasons means it’s just makjang to come even in escape form. But this combo clearly has the track record of delivering the type of makjang viewers in South Korea tune in for so it’s a smart move to sign up for The Escape of Seven. So far the leads are Hwang Jung Eum, Uhm Ki Joon, Yoon Jong Hoon, Shin Eun Kyung, and Lee Joon. The 6th new addition is Jo Yoon Hee so now all that is left is the 7th and final member to form the Escape of Seven. The drama is slated to air on SBS in early 2023.
