The last time I watched a K-drama with a zombie in it, she totally stole my heart with her plight. It was Lee Se Young‘s character in Hwayugi (A Korean Odyssey) and she was really the beating heart of that drama for me despite her not having a beating heart. Choi Jin Hyuk will give it a shot next playing … Continue reading →
Not to be confused with last year’s rom-com tvN drama Her Private Life, the upcoming jTBC thriller Private Life released script reading stills this week as the drama is starting promotions to take over the Wed-Thurs time slot after Was It Love. Starring Go Kyung Pyo as his first military discharge return project along with Seohyun, Kim Hyo Jin, and … Continue reading →
You can only get progress and catharsis from what is stagnant and seemingly hopeless, and episode 11 of It’s Okay to Not be Okay delivered tons of incredibly satisfying forward momentum without any of the usual K-drama tropes. Kang Tae and Moon Young’s breakup was as short as it should be considering how it solved no problems and allowed Sang … Continue reading →
There are three reasons to check out upcoming SBS drama Do You Like Brahms? Music, male lead Kim Min Jae, and female lead Park Eun Bin. The soul stirring notes from his piano and her violin along with their equally bright beautiful smiles promises a sweet aspiring tale of two music department college students finding camaraderie and romance together. The … Continue reading →
I think K-star Suzy has had a really smooth ride as a star in a cutthroat and relentless industry. She debuted at 16 years old and is now on the cusp of turning 26 this October, and what has transpired in the last 10 years is one of unmitigated success. The worst thing she has to deal with is valid … Continue reading →
It’s going to be telling of your age/generation if you thought upcoming MBC romance When I was Most Beautiful straight up copied a scene from Ghost. Now I’m humming Unchained Melody again, damn you pottery wheel skinskip! I then checked the synopsis and learned that leading lady Im Soo Hyang is a potter, i.e. a pottery artist. Of course she’s … Continue reading →
Okay, by the time this article posts the entire thing may be back up and running, at which point we can all talk about the Great Soompi Forum Outage of 2020 which lasted all of 48 hours. But this time everything seems off and the outage again has gone one for over 2 days so I’m not sure if Soompi … Continue reading →
I’ve been catching up to the latest season of Three Meals a Day: Fishing Village but when I’m done I’ll definitely check out House on Wheels. Starring Sung Dong Il, Kim Hee Won, and Yeo Jin Gu, the trio of two veterans and one baby-faced grown up child actor travel around South Korea in their mobile home and share the … Continue reading →
This is such a fun project and concept, and very positive and much appreciated at this time. The cast is rounding out for the upcoming jTBC drama Monster, but there is still no word on what the drama is about. Despite the scary sounding name, I don’t think it’s a horror, and most likely a murder detective mystery genre. Maybe? Starring the dual male leads of Shin Ha Kyun and Yeo Jin Gu, the cast is adding … Continue reading →
Okay, when I heard the title of this drama Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol and that it was for sure a music themed drama, seeing female lead Go Ara dressed like a walking poof of girly cuteness was not what I expected for her styling. Granted she can be a musician and wear whatever she wants but she … Continue reading →
Everything about tvN K-drama Flower of Evil looks great, and I’m impressed the production has its stuff together to hold a press conference a week before its premiere. Nowadays its always scrambling and more scrambling so a well organized drama is much appreciated. Flower premieres next Wednesday on July 29th, taking over the time slot from Oh My Baby. Leads … Continue reading →

Two days after Haruma’s passing on July 18th, he was laid to rest by his family in a private funeral on July 20th. His agency Amuse released a statement that a future public memorial for his fans will be … Continue reading →
