If my reaction to Cheongdamdong Alice was a reflection on its quality, this episode might have sucked donkey balls because I fell asleep watching it. But that is a feint, I tell you. The reality was that I was so exhausted from being up for 22 hours straight that I actually was trying to squee and it came out like … Continue reading →
I’m truly baffled by Aibu Saki‘s career in J-ent. She’s an okay actress and pretty enough, but definitely not the usual sweet faced ingenue nor is she the hot and bitchy type that gets all the guys excited. Yet she keeps getting cast in projects with the hottest guys around, not to mention she’s been dating wild thing Nagase Tomoya … Continue reading →
This is how you do it, networks everywhere take note. SETTV released the following batch of official stills today for tomorrow’s episode of Miss Rose. I don’t need to describe it, right? Hilariously enough, the news article accompanying the stills revealed that there will be a 7 minute long boating scene coming up. You all know that I’m going to … Continue reading →
Hey guys, let’s see if we can turn the complete and utter collapse of Miss Rose into a fun game. The drama has been confirmed to end at 23 episodes, which means with this week’s episode 22 we only have one more week to go. Not bad, right? I still can’t wrap my head around what the hell the writers … Continue reading →
Cheongdamdong Alice is truly trying my patience. Or shall I say SBS is trying my patience, with yet another week without any previews for the most part. We’re a day away from episode 7 and the dang network finally releases written previews but the video preview remains nowhere to be seen. Throw me a bone here, SBS! The written previews … Continue reading →
Cruel drama fates say what?!?! Okay, my last 24 hours have been insane (15 hour flight back to Taipei with 2 Koala babies, trying to get sleep but they are bouncing off the walls and up at the crack of dawn after 2 hours of shut eye, trying to tire them out with a swim and tired myself out instead) … Continue reading →
We’ve got the first peek at the leads in the Taiwan adaptation of You’re Beautiful starring Jiro Wang and newbie actress Su Li Wen. Above is Su Li Wen dressed like a nun-in-training and posing with Park Shin Hye, who cameos in the first scene at the church. Apparently she’s the one who is listening to music very loudly, heh. … Continue reading →
Guh, how come I’m just finding out now that Park Shi Hoo presented with Moon Chae Won at the Blue Dragon Film Awards two weeks ago? I literally gasped out loud and had to shield my eyes from the pretty. This reunion of The Princess’s Man OTP is both thrilling and incongruous, since the last I saw of them was … Continue reading →
It might appear that my fevered frenzy over the upcoming cable drama Flower Boy Next Door has died down, but that is merely because I am biding to time and conserving my energy. Otherwise I’ll wear myself out before the drama even arrives. This is like running for a marathon and pacing myself. The cast of FBND were guests on … Continue reading →
Another year, another year end review. For me the year end review contextualizes the dramas watched on three levels – its own merits, how it stacks up against its compatriots, and how the year measures up against previous years. If I wanted to add an additional intangible factor, then it would be how happy or frustrating it was for me … Continue reading →
This is so neato, and definitely confirmation as to how much Uhm Tae Woong must adore his dongsaeng Joo Won from being teammates on 1 Day 2 Nights. Despite my personal mehness towards Joo Won, Uhm Force’s affection for him does add to my perception that he’s a totally sweet kid that everyone loves because of his sincerity and hardworking … Continue reading →
You know, I like Kim Nam Gil‘s moustache look because he wears it confidently. But isn’t it time to change it up? Some of my fave actors like Jung Woo Sung and Lee Jung Jae have worn a moustache at different points in their career but it doesn’t stay permanently, which is what Kim Nam Gil’s feel like. I understand … Continue reading →
I’m stuttering here I can’t even get the words out without wanting to HulkSmash my keyboard. The writer for Missing You needs to take her meds again and maybe go to Jeju for a looooong sabbatical and stay away from drama writing. With her drama alternating between interesting conflicts that she can’t seem to develop with any competence, sheer whatthefuckery … Continue reading →
