A Koala's Playground Posted on by

The truth will set you free, and honestly with K-dramas always harping about the underdogs seeking the truth against the rich and powerful it’s hard not to root for a full investigation and either vindication or full indictment. It’s hard to waffle on this one with the seriousness of the allegations – K-actor Ji Soo, prominently the male lead in … Continue reading →

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

Bravo, a resounding Bravo to singer-actor Taecyeon for picking this drama and role as his second post-military project. I’m sure he got offered male leads but a memorable role is much harder to come by. Thus far he’s been excellent in tvN drama Vincenzo, really essaying the character who has always been a little too goofball from the get-go, if … Continue reading →

Ga Jin and Ondal Play House While Go Geun is Acting in His One-man Melo in Episode 5 of River Where the Moon Rises with Ratings of 6.5%, 8.8%

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

I think River Where the Moon Rises is finding its stride and that may actually be two separate dramas going on. Episode 5 was a slow episode as Ga Jin and Ondal playacted the most non-confrontational and non-serious “let’s stay apart” two-step ever. They have zero reason NOT to be other together, what her Crazy King Dad did top his … Continue reading →

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

It’s been some time since I saw so much glitz and glamour and this time it’s courtesy of C-ent which held the 2020 Weibo Night Awards despite it already being 2021. Better late than never and the ceremony feted popular C-stars in various categories that I’m less curious about than checking out the fasion. Yellow, bright canary yellow, as the … Continue reading →

I found my new crack drama ladies and gentlemen! Patience has paid off as episode 4 of Vincenzo was so good I have the shivers and shakes and can’t stop thinking about the exquisite details. Our Vincenzo may still have his own agenda (tons and tons of gold, who wouldn’t?) but he’s going to mete out some of his own … Continue reading →

Streaming platform Netflix isn’t just going all in on K-dramas it’s also extending its financing into K-movies. A Koala's Playground Posted on by

I have patience when it comes to dramas starring my loves. The longest I went with sticking with a drama before it reached payoff time was with Uncontrollably Fond with Kim Woo Bin and Suzy, that drama was 18 episodes of set up but the final 2 episodes was sheer perfection. I watch episodes 19-20 even now and I’m crying … Continue reading →

Seo Kang Joon Signs on for Secret Forest Screenwriter’s New Thriller Sci-fi Drama Zero

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

I thought Seo Kang Joon‘s last drama would have been totally up my alley but who knew it just didn’t connect with me. When the Weather is Fine costarred Park Min Young who I really like and seemed like that sorta of melancholy quiet emotive romance that would really usher me into a warm place of comfort. But it ended … Continue reading →
