I’m super curious now that specific details are being released about upcoming KBS Wed-Thurs drama Black Knight. It’s final casting of leads Kim Rae Won, Shin Se Kyung, and Seo Ji Hye are early enough as the drama doesn’t premiere until late fall after Mad Dog, which is assuring that there isn’t much controversy behind the scenes. The drama is … Continue reading →
It’s been a good streak for me, if you consider two straight K-dramas that I love a streak. Sadly the quality of K-dramas has gone down overall in the recent years and with it comes lower expectations. So to have followed tvN drama Live Up to Your Name avidly in the end of summer rolling straight into loving SBS drama … Continue reading →
The smile and chic aura makes this whole look work but it’s certainly worth analyzing because I’m always curious about fashion trends and styles of the stars. TW-actress Puff Guo made an appearance at a Pop-up brand store event in Taipei sporting a very fashion unique look. A dark navy top with ruffles and see through portions paired with a … Continue reading →
I like actress-idol Suzy in spite of knowing and accepting that she’s quite limited in actual talent in both acting or singing. I like her appeal and in the few projects she’s shined such as Dream High and Introduction to Architecture she just works for me, this approachable aura that can be cute and goofy. I think she’s hitting all … Continue reading →
This is just a sweet anecdoctal story about two K-stars I’m fond of, and a nice ray of positivity worth sharing. Actor-idol-producer Rain is currently running on all cylinders, having spent the last few months filming the upcoming K-movie Uhm Bok Dong and now serving as producer and mentor on music variety show The Unit, plus preparing for a December … Continue reading →
I do wonder how much a successful pictorial is photographer or model driven, because I’ve seen certain stars rarely delivering on print while others hit it out of the park every time regardless of location or set up. Jeon Ji Hyun really is the latter rarity and I tend to think she has a lot to do with it, this … Continue reading →
Dayum does this boy move fast. K-actor Jung Kyeo Woon was remarried this week in Seoul to his music college student fiancee after dating for a year. Turns out his marriage to first wife must’ve hit the skids soon after their April 2014 wedding and in March of 2016 he announced that the couple was officially divorced. The next month … Continue reading →
The ratings lead has turned by what would normally be the 4th episode of While You Were Sleeping, as Thursday’s airing in the second week of premiere overtook the time slot leader Hospital Ship which has been on top since it started airing. Episode 7 and 8 of While You Were Sleeping got 7.9% and 8.9% AGB ratings and Hospital … Continue reading →
The mandatory military service of my darling boy Lee Seung Gi will go down as the loooooongest of all the stars I’ve sent off to became a man in the last decade of watching Hallyu drama. While some have flown by while most just feel normal paced, his was like on half speed so it’s crazy that he’s only been … Continue reading →
Japan is certainly on a movie remake spree and picking off really prime source material. There’s the J-movie remake of Taiwanese 2011 hit movie You Are the Apple of My Eye coming along, and now also comes the J-movie remake of Korean hit movie Sunny on its way. The J-version is called Sunny: Strong Mind Strong Love (Sunny: Tsuyoi Kimochi … Continue reading →
The 2017 fall fashion shows in Paris are winding down and finally there is a K-star sighting of not one but two very popular entertainers. Actress Park Shin Hye and musician G-Dragon were at the Chanel show this week in very eye-catching Chanel attire, more him than her in the visual department. G-Dragon is known for being fashion forward and … Continue reading →
This is a weird second week for SBS Wed-Thurs drama While You Were Sleeping in that it got caught up during Chuseok, the Mid-Autumn holiday which is also known as Zhong Qiu in Chinese-speaking countries. Work gives days off and people head home, so television watching patterns are disrupted. The ratings show for that as Wednesday’s episode 5 and 6 … Continue reading →
Ethan Ruan and Yang Mi are not the only upcoming drama onscreen coupling of top Taiwan and China stars, another period C-drama has been filming alongside Legend of Fuyao that is also getting plenty of attention for it’s female centric narrative and gorgeous leads. Chen Qiao En plays the titular Queen Dugu (or Empress Dugu) based on the real life … Continue reading →
