I need to thank dramas for making it clear for me whether I am totally in love or in hate with the cast or preview because then it’s easier to dive in fully or avoid completely. Xianxia C-drama Moonlight Mystique was already on my meh list despite liking female lead Bai Lu I find male lead Ao Rui Peng’s face … Continue reading →
So my last post on the casting for this C-drama ended up being confirmed so yay for a pairing that I am totally onboard with. Youku‘s new period C-drama Kill My Sins (Chinese title Palm of my Hand) will star Liu Shi Shi and Shawn Dou in a S+ budget large scale production. It’s a talent and age appropriate casting … Continue reading →
It’s only been two months since the tragic passing of K-actor Lee Seon Kyun and another milestone has arrived. This weekend on March 2nd, 2024, it would have been his 49th birthday, and a year away from the major life celebration that would be 50 years old. His many industry colleagues and fans have posted remembrances of him on his … Continue reading →
So this is an interesting poll in C-ent where the fandoms of stars was asked which opposite sex star the fans most DO NOT want their fave to star with. So the fans of the actresses were voting on their most dislike to work with actor and the fans of the actors were voting on their most to-avoid actress. For … Continue reading →
So there is a bit of bad publicity is better than no publicity. C-actress Yu Shu Xin has been criticized in C-drama after C-drama where she dubs her own character and chooses to use an absolutely ear numbing cutesy voice. The only time she didn’t that I recollect was when she dubbed her dark assassin character in My Journey to … Continue reading →
I’ve only ever watched Zhang Ling He in period dramas so this will be a refreshing change of onscreen image for him. He’s signed on for the modern romance C-drama adapted from the novel by writer Sheng Li titled Loving You is the Best Thing I Ever Did. The drama will start filming shortly and the female lead is Xu … Continue reading →
I love when a star speaketh not just the truth but what the vast majority of audience members are thinking. Leading lady Kim Nam Joo was out promoting her new drama Wonderful World this week and was a guest on a variety show and was asked about her working with Cha Eun Woo. She explained that once she explained to … Continue reading →
There was a period where I wondered if Lee Do Hyun would really break out. I loved him in Hotel Del Luna and he gave off strong the next Jung Hae In vibes. He went off to pick smart roles and interesting dramas but it really was the last year in 2023 right before his military enlistment that all the … Continue reading →
So there has been one return from the recent batch of cancelled C-stars and it’s none other than the talented Zhang Zhe Han. Unfortunately for his OG fans who became his fans through his breakout hit period C-drama Word of Honor, his acting career in Mainland China remains so over with zero hope of return but he is back as … Continue reading →
There are cases of stars getting cancelled or in trouble with the law and we stop seeing them onscreen, but other times stars just slowly stop acting and there are too many to count and I have plenty of faves on that list. Recently two actresses gave interviews explaining why each has been MIA on the small screen for years. … Continue reading →
Okay, who let Ouyang Nana act? I legit did a double take that she’s a female lead in a C-drama but a quick look at her wiki reveals she’s done movies and a few C-dramas already, so I must’ve been just lucky to have not encountered any of her prior works lol. This week Tencent premiered a new period C-drama … Continue reading →
I absolutely will applaud and also send money for legal fees for anyone who dumps a bucket of pig manure on producer Yu Zheng‘s head. Whenever I think he can’t possibly do any shittier things because he’s done so much already, and then he proceeds to surprise me in the worst way. This month in February he’s posted about his … Continue reading →
So there’s a thriller action plane K-movie coming out later this year and this week the first two stills were released of the two leads. It stars veteran Ha Jung Woo with younger leading man Yeo Jin Gu in another acting bonanza pair up. Yeo Jin Gu continues to work with the best older leading men and each time I … Continue reading →
