So Wu Lei has been in the industry for nearly 20 years as a baby baby child actor and has been managing his career so well with nary a scandal and plenty of praise for his hard working attitude and healthy sporty big boy image. Dang, I’ve heard this in a few places (see here for one) and it goes to show that there is always a lot of attempt to salvage projects to air and recoup some money even when shit hits the fan. C-drama The Emperor’s Love with Wallace Chung and Yuan Bing Yan has been in limbo for over a year since … Continue reading →
So the Easter Eggs in My Journey to You are aplenty and even early characters who seemingly are offed get further fleshing out whether in flashbacks or not yet dead returns. Until I watched Park Kyu Young in one of my fave rom-coms Dali and the Cocky Prince I didn’t find her all that suitable as a romantic leading lady. Afterwards I realized she’s not just a natural at the rom-com cadence but she has excellent chemistry with her leading men, she had it in spades with both male leads in … Continue reading →
So My Journey to You has been my most 180-degrees about turn in opinion for both leads Yu Shu Xin and Zhang Ling He as well as for director Guo Jingming. That it mostly releases 1 episode a day has made the slow burn even more painfully delightful, it gives me chance to savor each episode and really take in … Continue reading →
