The first preview for Masked Prosecutor is here, and I honestly feel torn. On one hand, everything looks great right off the bat with the introduction of the two leads. Joo Sang Wook looks believable as a prosecutor, not to mention charismatic and handsome to boot, while Kim Sun Ah is awesome at being a spirited kickass lady cop. Then … Continue reading →
This episode of The Girl Who Sees Smells might as well be titled “he knows, she knows, they all know, everyone knows, so now what?” I feel the drama has enough gas in the tank to propel the remainder of the narrative without deflating now that the secrets are out of the bag. Frankly speaking, this drama didn’t exactly have secrets … Continue reading →
I feel like no matter how Warm and Cozy turns out there will be a devout group of fans that think it’s the best thing since sliced cheese. I’m speaking of the very ardent fans of Kang Sora and Yoo Yeon Seok, and having supportive fans is nothing new and I’m happy for them. With that said, I sure hope … Continue reading →
It’s safe to rejoice about this casting news because it’s confirmed rather than in talks or merely speculative. Movie starlet Park Bo Young is making her drama land return in eight years since Mackerel Run in 2007 as the leading lady for upcoming tvN drama Oh My Ghost. Since Mackerel Run she did cameo roles in a few dramas while … Continue reading →
I can’t figure out if the latest BNT pictorial is good exposure or bad for Yoon Kyun Sang‘s kickstarted acting career. Thanks to a star-making turn in a critical supporting role in Pinocchio playing Lee Jong Seok‘s hyung, Yoon Kyun Sang is garnering all the right attention for his acting ability and potential. Even better is that he’s already done with … Continue reading →
The leads are confirmed now so upcoming jTBC drama Last just needs to get itself a time slot on the cable network. Last is based on a dark webtoon of the same name, dealing with the story of a successful businessman who expects a big payday but ends up losing everything. He then falls into the ranks of the throngs … Continue reading →
I haven’t been keeping up with general entertainment news as much these past weeks, focusing more on dramas and movies, so it comes as a major surprise to me to read in many mainstream Chinese newspapers that Tao (Huang Zi Tao) has left EXO. Really? That would mark the third consecutive Chinese member to leave EXO in the last year, … Continue reading →
It’s been five months now since China’s SARFT crackdown on the simultaneously airing of overseas dramas on Chinese video portals, placing the same onerous restrictions as overseas shows aired on television. It’s overstating the impact this has had on K-dramas since China was far and away the largest market, with the advent of officially licensed live-streamed K-dramas starting in 2013 getting kiboshed by … Continue reading →
I can’t believe there is more to the Kim Hyun Joong saga, and then arrives more to the Kim Hyun Joong “reality is crazier than a K-drama” personal life. The first update is that Kim Hyun Joong is for sure enlisting in the military, to happen on May 12th in a very low key manner as per the statement provided … Continue reading →
French design house Chanel light up the fashion skyline in Seoul this past weekend for the 2015 Cruise collection, which also happens to be the first time ever the haute couture brand has staged a runway show in South Korea. It was a veritable who’s who of Korean entertainment and famous Hollywood faces attending the show at Dongdaemun Design Plaza, with … Continue reading →
Filming has begun on upcoming jTBC drama My Love Eun Dong, a drama that I’m intrigued about but not quite certain what to expect. Starring Joo Jin Mo, Kim Sarang, Kim Yoo Ri, and Kim Tae Hoon, the drama is about a long lasting love of the type that sounds like a return to the Hallyu dramas of yore. The … Continue reading →
Masked Prosecutor (The Man in the Mask) has hit the ground running by the looks of the first drama stills of leading man Joo Sang Wook as the titular prosecutor who resorts to masked vigilantism. There’s no mask in sight, and he doesn’t appear to be in the midst of doing his prosecutorial duties either, but neither matters in the eye candy … Continue reading →
I’m not always right when I post casting rumors and speculations based on industry chatter, sometimes it falls through and other times it was industry just wishful thinking. But putting the caveat in front of all those maybe, could be, might happen drama casting posts allows for early discussion on upcoming dramas and that’s something I find totally fun to … Continue reading →
