C-ent Upcoming Dramas Drop Romantic New Posters Celebrating 2023 Chinese Valentine’s Day on Lunar 7/7 Date

Today on August 22nd is also lunar date July 7th which means Chinese Valentine’s Day, which remains a celebrated date but so does Western Valentine’s Day on February 14th so it’s like getting two V-days heh. Many of the upcoming C-dramas released cute couple featured dramas or BTS pics to promote their drama on this day and most are just meh but have a look away and see if any strike your fancy. Nothing jumped out at me that I wasn’t already looking forward to such as The Last Immortal, The Legend of Shen Li, Amidst a Snowstorm of Love, Only for Love, et. al., and the surprises are that Tang Yan is back with her first drama in nearly 4 years, both Tan Jian Ci and Zhou Ye have two pre-filmed dramas ready to air including one together, and Zhang Ling He has another C-drama on top of his two already waiting to air.

C-ent Upcoming Dramas Drop Romantic New Posters Celebrating 2023 Chinese Valentine’s Day on Lunar 7/7 Date — 5 Comments

  1. So many good cdramas, and bcuz of that, i rarely watch kdramas..

Aiyo, last night i waited for LYF but it was just rumor.
But 2 days ago, they had live on Hello Saturday (?) not sure about the title but the cast of this varshow include wang hedi and tan jianci.

  2. I’m excited for most of the dramas here. Can’t wait to see TJC, ZLS, ZLY, and Tang Yan’s new drama. BTW ZLS looks so pretty in the picture above.

  3. The Prisoner of beauty has the arranged marriage trope, so yes, I will probably watch it.

Snowstorm of love could have good chemistry, plus I like both leads, so I will give it a try too.

Where is Zhang Linghe? Can’t seem to locate him.

And, last but not least, I love Wang Hedi but why do drama-makers always seem to believe that they can take such a young man, put some glasses on him and the audience will automatically believe he’s a mature and experienced CEO, I can never understand. I guess it will be a succes for Dylan if he can convince the audience he’s not cosplaying, but damn, it will be hard.

  4. Glad to see posters of upcoming goodies n beauties. You got me googling show names. Looking fwd to some of my fav c-stars n their musical chair pairings:
Zhao Lusi x Wang Anyu = the last immortal
Leo Wu x Zhao Jinmai = snowstorm of love
Xu Kai x Seven Tan = as beautiful as you
Yang Zi x ? = stories of youth and love
Dylan Wang x Bailu = only for love
Tan Jianci x ? Square Pavilion
Allen Ren x Song Zuer = the demon hunter’s romance
Tan Jianci x ? = love me love my voice
Song Zuer x Liu Yuning = the prisoner of beauty

Shining for one thing – dropped tis series quite early in so will skip it, altho i loved the TW version

Moments we shared – adore tis nostalgic poster reminiscent of old hong kong, but i don’t recognise any actors here

Just for meeting you – don’t normally watch c-movies, but may give tis a go for Song Wei Long

The legend of shen li – all gd actors but not up my sleeve, shall wait for ratings/popularity to decide

  5. Too many dramas. Too low quality most of them. It’s frustrating after shopping around without things much worth to buy. Similar experience with C drama market! What a waste of my precious time! C-ent industry perhaps should go through some sort of reform to focus more resources on producing fewer but higher quality dramas, specifically when the capital market in China is under stress now. There are reasons why K dramas have kept me hooked for years and currently still dominate Asian drama markets internationally but I had to drop most C dramas ppl recommended online. Being familiar with Chinese doesn’t help much.
