Every time Song Seung Heon wants to “branch out”, he inevitably ends up making me laugh unintentionally but always coming out unscathed. When one’s acting ability is already universally acknowledged as nonexistent, then it really is cool that people can still enjoy him for the pretty. Recently he’s been a time-traveling doctor, a gangster in love, a princess-loving diplomat chaebol … Continue reading →
Kim Bum may be wasting his time in the currently airing sageuk Goddess of Fire, but unlike leads Moon Geun Young and Lee Sang Yoon, he can swan off and get less screen time (win and win) because he needs to do promotions for the upcoming big-budgeted Hong Kong period fantasy movie Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon. … Continue reading →
The Chinese entertainment world’s never ending scandal and romances are amusing to keep tabs on, but personally I love the epic bromances more. There are so many I can’t track but it’s time to add a new one to the list – after making Director Tsui Hark‘s prequel to Detective Dee, Lin Geng Xin promptly fell madly into a bromance … Continue reading →
The ingenuity and heart from the heydays of the wuxia or period movies are long gone and even the famed directors from that era have taken to substituting special effects and intricate fighting for good storytelling. Go ahead, judge me all you want. The appreciation for male beauty needn’t be a shameful thing, as along as its acknowledged thusly and no further validation is added thereto. I’ve wondered why its taken so long since Song Seung Heon started his acting career for him to strip away any pretense that he can act and just let his … Continue reading →
Won Bin might be the most reluctant movie star in South Korea. But I guess he can afford to be picky because he gets ton of CFs that can sustain a career when he’s not making movies. I know fans have been hoping he’d return to television but I’d say don’t hold your breath. The Korean media is reporting that … Continue reading →
