It’s raining K-drama goodies to start off the week so here is the first official stills for Arthdal Chronicles 2, the sequel to the 2020 summer blockbuster primed drama that wasn’t. It will air next year in 2023 and in the drama narrative there will be a time jump as teenaged character leads played by Song Joong Ki and Kim … Continue reading →
Her short guest appearance in summer 2022 fantasy K-drama Alchemy of Souls was definitely Go Yoon Jung‘s breakout. There were three near same age female leads in Sweet Home and Park Kyu Young has the better character and Go Min Si had the more interesting arc so it wasn’t Go Yoon Jung’s breakout vehicle. She was okay in Law School … Continue reading →
Well this is a totally juicy “what the hell happened behind the scenes” rumored casting scuffle. Today an entertainment blogger claimed that reputable sources are saying that C-actor Jing Bo Ran has “ran off” from the soon to start filming xianxia drama Hidden God. What is he a runaway bride lol! He was confirmed last month and the filming was … Continue reading →
I can throw reality to the wind with a lot of K-dramas but for some reason Love in Contract just didn’t work for me on set up and then never delivered anything beyond the distasteful premise to make it a worthwhile watch. I was intrigued into to watch through episode 8 and then off-and-on to see how the plot unfolded … Continue reading →
Okay, Chinese broadcasting authorities, you drunk and need to calm the heck down. Because randomly pulling a drama a day before premiere and a month later only allowing it to preview out of the blue just gives audiences whiplash. I’ve fully experienced that with modern romance drama She and Her Perfect Husband, which was supposed to air last month in … Continue reading →
True popularity is a combination of timing (right role/right time) and talent and in the cutthroat world of C-ent with countless talents rising and on the rise it’s one misstep and off the cliff. But there are also stars who always seem on the cusp of breaking out but never seem to, and recently there was an article discussing this … Continue reading →
This summer of 2022 was really a two-horse race of Love Between Fairy and Devil and Love Like the Galaxy, and it wasn’t for television ratings are both are web dramas but for buzz and cache. My two cents says both dramas are male lead dominant, i.e. it benefitted Dylan Wang and Wu Lei respectively more than the female leads. … Continue reading →
Another cute young pairing is coming in 2023 this one with Kim So Hyun and Minhyun, the former taking off with a new agency and the latter leaning in more on his budding acting career. The drama is called Useless Lies and tells of a woman with the ability to tell if someone is lying or not and a man … Continue reading →
I……am heartbroken to see this stuff. It’s like when an author of a novel confuses oneself with the producer of a show. When a story is merely words on a page then it’s fine to change forms, create new identities, as the reader just forms new visions as a reader is required to do. But when it start off solely … Continue reading →
Sometimes there is too much of a good thing if it’s all the same type of thing, and that’s what agency Ieum Hashtag is shaping up to be. The still relatively new agency added a beautiful young singer-actress this week in Seolhyun, who if she is exclusively going to be an actress will likely go with her full name Kim … Continue reading →
The title of this drama is so apropos with the casting lol but it’s nevertheless good news to hear. K-actress Baek Jin Hee and underrated K-actor Kwak Si Yang have been cast in the next big KBS weekend drama titled The Real One Has Appeared. It will premiere in April 2023 and by then it would have been four years … Continue reading →
I love me some good whole C-ent gossip and this one fits the bill to a T! C-drama leads Bai Jing Ting and Song Yi, who just filmed the period drama Chang Feng Du (English title tentatively Destined) together are embroiled in dating rumors. A prominent C-ent gossip blogger outed them are going back home the same residence and even … Continue reading →
Now that filming has wrapped for the high profile Fox Spirit Matchmaker (the Yue Hong chapter) with Yang Mi and Gong Jun, it’s time to over/under whether this drama will air in 2023 or somehow drag until 2024 to premiere. One never knows these days with SARFT regulations and permitting black holes. The drama released new filming wrap pictures of … Continue reading →
