It was expected that there would be fast updates once filming begins on 2016 airing K-drama Arbitrarily Fond with Kim Woo Bin and Suzy. Both are extremely popular in Korea and as long as it was being filmed domestically there would be fan sightings aplenty and that is indeed the case as the fans are out in full force it … Continue reading →
Agree! Totally 100% agree with this voting result, which is becoming more and more a rarity these days. Sometimes I wonder if my tastes have stayed the same while the newer drama viewers are headed in a different direction, but then a special drama comes along that hits all the right spots for me and then I could care less … Continue reading →
I sense that SBS knows exactly what it has to work with on upcoming Wed-Thurs drama Remember and is doing a bang up job of maximizing it on all the promos. The latest batch features angsty Yoo Seung Ho looking drop dead handsome in a tux, adorable Park Min Young doing her best plucky girl heroine, and baddie Namgong Min … Continue reading →
It’s a nice time to be Yoo Ah In right now, what with a ratings leader sageuk drama in Six Flying Dragons and now just crowned as the Best Actor winner at the 36th annual Blue Dragon Film Awards for his performance in sageuk movie The Throne (Sado). The Throne lost out to Assassination for Best Picture, but managed to … Continue reading →
Chinese press and netizens are buzzing about the latest display of affection and bromance between writer-director-actor Guo Jingming and his actor protege Cheney Chen. The two have been so open about their friendship, and their fans and the press so fine with it, it’s almost no big deal whether or not they confirm long running rumors that they are a … Continue reading →
I get super excited during the week lead up to every new Sunday episode of Marry Me or Not. This is one drama that has managed to be the best aspects of Taiwan dramas do the best – silly slap stick blended with nuanced emotional development. Office Girls remains one of my fondest Taiwan drama watches but it was admittedly … Continue reading →
This juicy dating rumor feels like a stretch, not to mention a good year too late to be worth its sizzle. Taiwan netizens are speculating that all the recent dating rumors between idol-actress Tia Li and fallen TW-actor Kai Ko is actually a front for Tia’s real romance with her former costar Aaron Yan. Say what was my first reaction, … Continue reading →
Suzy is everywhere these days and now her presence is being felt down South in Taiwan with a brand new high profile ad campaign. Suzy is paired up with Taiwanese superstar singer-actor Show Luo for Coffee Maurina, a pairing that whacked me out of left field merely for the surprise factor and not that there is anything odd about it. … Continue reading →
The only thing better than Yoo Seung Ho with a cat is a chubby tabby with attitude that isn’t falling for his allure. So cute, so so cute! As a dog person this tableau could only be improved upon if he was holding a squirming puppy and the drama was called Imaginary Dog. But I still find cats chill and … Continue reading →
Getting married is huge milestone, especially so for Taiwanese model-actress Hannah Quinlivan who tied the knot to her mega superstar husband Jay Chou. It’s rather unfortunate that Hannah’s name will forever be linked to being Mrs. Chou, which is how the media starts off any article about her now. She’s been in the industry for six years since she was … Continue reading →
This pictorial feels like one of those perfect timing pairings – the right moment with the right mood. Jung So Min is in the pages of the December issue of InStyle Korea modeling a series of modernized Victorian garb that fits seamlessly with the winter dawning winter aura. I’ve tabled her current cable drama D-Day for when I feel like … Continue reading →
Now this is what I call star power, or more aptly Suzy star power. At the VIP premiere of upcoming sageuk movie The Sound of a Flower (Dorihwaga) starring Suzy, Ryu Seung Ryong, and Kim Nam Gil, the impressive line up of Hallyu stars in attendance eclipsed the movie itself thanks to Suzy bringing all the boys (and girls) to … Continue reading →
I sure hope upcoming jTBC drama Madame Antoine manages to overcome it’s odd sounding drama title, and manages to capitalize on a ridiculously good looking lead coupling of Han Ye Seul and Sung Joon. Pretty is subjective and there are different types of good looking, but Han Ye Seul and Sung Joon fall into the same type for me – … Continue reading →
