We’re into October 2023 and I’m hopeful there will be at least 2-3 big C-dramas to release before year end. One of which is likely modern workplace romance Only for Love, which according to insiders will drop later this month at the end of October. Reportedly Bai Lu and Dylan Wang are gearing up for a full promo circuit in … Continue reading →
So I wrote last week about Dilraba Dilmurat signed on for a period C-drama next with a female centric lead and revenge plus time travel story. It’s called Wan Zha Chao Huang 万渣朝凰 and the English title of the source manhua is called Cheating Men Must Die mwahaha love it. She’s confirmed though not official but now C-ent is abuzz … Continue reading →
A new poster is out today for C-drama Guardians of the Dafeng from the production company and Tencent to celebrate the drama hitting 500,000 reservations on the streaming platform. Starring Dylan Wang and Tian Xi Wei, the drama is adapted from the same name novel and seems like a swashbuckler type story. I continue to love Dylan’s ponytail look and … Continue reading →
Talk about a temper tantrum so loud when it started ending in a whimper. Zhao Lu Si will start filming soon for S+ level period C-drama The Legend of Jewelry where she gets the budget and first billing in a female lead centric story, all good for her career. Except her fans got all snitty that the drama had a … Continue reading →
So C-actor Wang Yibo was in Paris over the weekend attending the Chanel Fall 2023 fashion show at the invite of the brand and debuted a platinum do that was striking and definitely very couture vogue-esque. He wore the brand’s outfit and did the fashion show circuit with what felt like a smooth outing. But the moment the pictures came … Continue reading →
Filming has kicked off for period C-drama The Story of Mystics, which Chinese title went from Bai Zhe Ling 白泽令 to Da Meng Gui Li 大梦归离. The producer and director remains Guo Jing Ming following up from My Journey to You as he returns to period drama land. The leads are Hou Ming Hao and Chen Du Ling with second … Continue reading →
So I’ve heard this novel has been in talks for a C-drama adaptation for awhile and of course the laundry list of potential male and female leads have paraded in and out some just wishful thinking others actual talks with. From the casting chatter this week it appears the drama version of Offering Salted Fish to Master will actually get … Continue reading →
Yang Zi just finished filming the modern C-drama Story of Joy last week and her scheduled for this last quarter of the year will be much lighter. Her period drama next project Flourished Peony adapted from the same name novel will start filming at very end of the year with rumored male lead Chen Xing Xu which may change. Re-shoots … Continue reading →
Well, I don’t know whether to be happy or disappointed but at least it’s set in stone now. The leads for the upcoming Tang dynasty drama The Legend of Jewelry (Chinese title Pearl Curtain and Jade Curtain) are officially confirmed as Zhao Lu Si and Liu Yu Ning, both liuliang stars and a reunion from their secondary OTP turn in … Continue reading →
So the rumor is that Zhao Li Ying is definitely A-list but is capped by her not being theater trained. So called “Ke Ban” which means a graduate of an arts academy or acting major, hence she has not been able to break into the more prestigious C-movies. If that’s true what a shame because she’s got major talent and … Continue reading →
I found C-actress Dilraba Dilmurat one of the best dressed gown and hair whole package Asian stars so far to descend in Paris for the Fall 2023 fashion shows. She was invited by Christian Dior and really matched well with the brands couture and aura. But a new wrinkle came from her attendance after the invitation went public and it … Continue reading →
This is a form of self-sabotage so bad it might set a new standard for self-absorbed cluelessness. I’m talking about C-actress Zhao Lu Si‘s fandom, and I really love this actress but her die-hard fandom is toxic and woefully self-congratulating. She finished filming xianxia drama The Last Immortal earlier this year and for the last 6 months has been waiting … Continue reading →
So there’s a big melon about C-actor Cheng Yi this week and his side has brushed it off as he flew to Paris for fashion shows and issued a denial. A well-known C-gossiper claimed that a two named popular actor, who has cheated before and has plenty of dirt, is the kept man of a rich older woman who was … Continue reading →
