Who wants more Song Joong Ki? Uh, that would be me and every other grabby lady out there. It’s alright, he has enough talent to go around. For the January 2012 edition of Ceci Magazine, Joong Ki goes grouchy, grumbly, and introspective. The movie Wolf Boy just started filming last week, and he and co-star Park Bo Young expressed their … Continue reading →
It’s official. Every moody actor on the planet simply must star opposite Ella. It’s better than getting therapy. The woman famously turned Taiwan’s surliest hot shot Jerry Yan into a smiling, laughing, giddy man-boy on the set of Down With Love. Now she’s turned serious and sensitive Vic Zhou into a complete clown. I love it. Ella and Zai Zai … Continue reading →
Going into this year end review, I wasn’t nearly as enthusiastic as I was last year. I can’t pinpoint why, other than perhaps I simply wrote so much I wore myself out. All my drama writing in the 365 days since the 2010 year end review did make my fingers consider going on strike. My brain wasn’t that far behind … Continue reading →
Today was the unveiling of the Da Ren Wu Charity Photo Exhibition in Taipei (da ren wu literally means big person and here it refers to someone famous), where nearly forty of Taiwan’s biggest entertainers participated in an edgy and thought provoking photo shoot for the sake of art and charitable giving. Everyone donated their time, including the famed make … Continue reading →
Another TW-drama starting filming today and the cast attended a media event since it’s never too early to drum up interest. Co-starring as the leads are Cheryl Yang and Sunny Wang, the latter having shot to stardom with a supporting role in In Time With You with Ariel Lin. This drama is called Sweet Magic Bus (甜蜜魔幻巴士) which is a … Continue reading →
Hot on the heels of Yuan Hong and Liu Shi Shi reuniting to accept their Esquire China Men of the Year Award, the OTHER Legend of the Condor Heroes 2008 couple followed suit yesterday. Hu Ge and Ariel Lin sat side-by-side in the audience and went onstage together to accept their respective Most Popular Actor and Best Actress (Taiwan and … Continue reading →
You guys must’ve noticed that this week’s Office Girl’s recap was nowhere to be seen. Truth be told I’ve been extremely busy, but I’ve also discovered my urge to recap OG has dissipated. I still love watching it, but so little is happening I simply have nothing to talk about. I don’t want any OG recapping duties to mar my … Continue reading →
When Selina Jen vowed she would make a comeback, she wasn’t just shooting for the stars. A year after she and co-star Ham Yu suffered severe burns over most of their body during a catastrophic explosion on the set of their drama I Have a Date with Spring, Selina has made enough of a recovery that she was finally able … Continue reading →
OMG whut? Seriously drama, you want to go there? Someone give me some blood pressure medicine. What happened to the rich emotional drama with tons of conversations and loads of understanding? Suddenly we’re dealing with lawsuits and a near complete breakdown of trust. Episode 12 of Me Too, Flower! was a hard episode to watch. Hard because I really feel … Continue reading →
Not only is Zai Zai looking more and more like Tony Leung, he’s also healthier and happier than I have seen him in years. Seeing Vic Zhou along with Yang Mi and Ella hitting the Chinese variety show circuit to promote their movie Perfect Two (minus Xiao Xiao Bin who is back in Taiwan), I suddenly discovered a ZaiMi craving … Continue reading →
Man of Honor is officially dead to me. This is my last anything related to it. The writer for this drama must never be allowed to write again. This isn’t aiming high and then failing to reach it. This is just plain incompetence. There is stupid but loveable, and there is plain dreadful and moronic. This drama would be the … Continue reading →
Led by Director Doze Niu, the leads of the upcoming romantic movie LOVE were in Shanghai today to unveil the latest poster for the movie and continue with their steady promotional activities for the movie which premieres in February. Present were Ethan Ruan, Vicky Zhao, Amber Kuo, Eddie Peng, and Ivy Chen, with Mark Chao and Shu Qi absent due to scheduling … Continue reading →
I thought my heart had gone into its Winter dormant phase with no dramas to pine over, but Me Too, Flower! proved that it was awake and kicking. While M2F objectively has quite a lot of kinks in its narrative flow, the flaws are smoothed over by having two amazingly written lead characters who are being acted to perfection with … Continue reading →
