C-actress Bai Lu has not just one but two high profile period C-dramas on deck and which one you are looking forward to more may depend on your taste in the two male leads and the general story outline. The finished filming one is Till the End of the Moon with Luo Yun Xi, a xianxia drama and also their … Continue reading →
2022 has been THE breakout year for C-actress Zhao Lu Si, with two back-to-back hit dramas with Who Rules the World followed by Love Like the Galaxy. But with being “red” (i.e. popular) right now comes the requisite netizen interest and gossip column attention. Recently a well known entertainment gossip site was asked about whether Zhao Lu Si was dating … Continue reading →
A person has a right to earn a living and with that K-star Park Yoochun can continue to scrounge up an entertainment career where and how he can. The former top idol and popular actor is now promoting exclusively in Thailand, where either his fan base is that devoted or his scandal just didn’t linger in the mind like it … Continue reading →
This is such a disheartening news to hear but there is a silver lining. Veteran award-winning Korean actor Ahn Sung Ki has revealed to the public that he’s been battling blood cancer for the past year. I don’t know if its leukemia, lymphoma, or myeloma specifically but he gave an interview over the weekend in response to concern over his … Continue reading →
I’ve written off Thousand Years for You as quickly as I got excited about it so let’s take the next batch of C-dramas that interest me a bit slower. One is Forbidden Love (浮图缘 Fu Tu Yuan) a court intrigue romance adapted from the same name novel by writer You Si Jie. She has a lot of novels under her … Continue reading →
Man this sucks to hear. This weekend was the conclusion of MBC Fri-Sat drama Big Mouth with Lee Jong Seok and Yoona which ended up being both better than expected when it started and now worse than hoped for in how it ended. I’m so far from being caught up I may table this based on the howls of anger … Continue reading →
Man, I wanted to love this drama so bad, partly from the still lingering good will towards Allen Ren (Ren Jia Lun) for The Blue Whisper and also because I’m still on a C-drama binge. Thousand Years for You had all the ingredients for my tastes – past love, pretty Republican era costumes, spunky girl lead who goes after what … Continue reading →
It’s weird that season 1 of Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim had the two younger leads not return for season 2 but now the 3rd season will continue with the same cast as season 2. I guess Seo Hyun Jin and Yoo Yeon Seok were just too big at that point for another subordinate still learning the ropes role but much … Continue reading →
Wow, this one totally snuck up on me and in a good way! My summer of C-drama immersion has let me bypass the less interesting summer K-drama fare and get back in the swing of things heading into fall. I’m tentatively cautious about The Law Cafe, loving both leads is keeping me loyally watching with hopes the drama will get … Continue reading →
Having eye-catching official posters and stills drop unexpectedly is my favorite treat as a drama watcher, it’s like cold water for a parched throat. A Journey to Love with Liu Shi Shi and Liu Yu Ning released the first official promos this week and I love it! With the red sun as the backdrop on a desert setting, this could … Continue reading →
Dang, the eagle-eyed netizens have done it again, and this time there is video proof. C-actor Zhang Han is in hot water after a scene aired on his new C-drama Gentlemen of East 8th where what was supposed to be flirting between his character and love interest played by C-actress Wang Xiaochen upset viewers for his crossing the line. He … Continue reading →
Can C-ent calm the f*&k down with all these scandals and reveals and whatnot. I’m sure there is a heck ton going on behind the scenes but for all these juicy reveals one after another it’s like a race to the bottom. A day after Li Yi Feng‘s arrest and news about solicitation another C-actor is caught up in rumors … Continue reading →
I think this has to be the tail end of the Squid Game hype and attention, and boy did it last exactly an entire year. When I saw the nominations for the 2022 Emmy Awards included Squid Game it felt like the drama aired so long ago but I realized it was September 2021 which made it too late for … Continue reading →
