I thought another double queen K-drama was headed our way in 2021 but alas this one was not meant to me. K-ent is reporting that upcoming K-drama W: The City of Undying Women starring Kim Sun Ah and Uhm Jung Hwa in dual female lead roles has run into a full stop. The production has been disbanded and the drama is no more. I’m sure there was plenty of stuff behind the scenes to lead to this but I’m sure production companies are still planning strong female lead dramas what with the success of Penthouse, The World of the Married, Sky Castle, and Women of Dignity in the past three years. W was slated to be directed by the PD of People with Flaws and My Sassy Girl with the screenwriter of Who Are You and Style.
