C-netizens Agree with Li Yi Feng’s Arrest and Cancellation But Wonder What the Trigger Was for All This to Come Out Now When He was Arrested Twice Before This Year Alone for Solicitation

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

The fallout from the Li Yi Feng solicitation of prostitution arrest is still reverberating in C-ent. Overnight he lost all 13 of his endorsement deals and the next day workers were spotted in store windows, on subway platforms, and on buildings removing any billboard or poster with him on it. He’s already been scrubbed from his drama and movie pages … Continue reading →

Two of this summer 2022 hit C-dramas will be coupled up for a forthcoming xianxia drama adapted from a novel. It’s called Hidden Gods (神隐 Shen Yin) and is the sequel to the novel and drama Ancient Love Poetry which starred Xu Kai and Zhou Dong Yu to mixed reviews. Apparently the male lead in Hidden Gods is their son … Continue reading →

Xianxia C-drama The Longest Promise with Xiao Zhan and Ren Min Release New Stills for Mid-Autumn Festival with No Airing Date in Sight

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

The title for The Longest Promise may end up prescient if this drama keeps on never having an air date. There are plenty of long shelved C-dramas but so far this one doesn’t have a scandal and the topic isn’t (yet) contain anything the C-government wants to discourage from being shown. The drama released two new stills last weekend with … Continue reading →

Two Upcoming C-dramas with Xu Kai Release New Stills for Moon Festival – Modern Romance She and Her Perfect Husband with Yang Mi and Period Drama Wonderland of Love with Jing Tian

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

It’s weird, I’m not a Xu Kai fan probably because I won’t touch his breakout drama Story of Yanxi Palace with a ten foot pole (allergic to palace dramas and Yumama), but I am oddly super looking forward to both of his upcoming dramas. For She and Her Perfect Husband (爱的二八定律) with Yang Mi, the preview really hooked me. It’s … Continue reading →

Zhao Li Ying and Lin Geng Xin Still Gots the Chemistry in New Moon Festival Still for C-drama The Legend of Shen Li

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

I really love the ordinary people feel of The Legend of Shen Li promo stills so far. It’s a xianxia drama but it doesn’t make it so over-the-top with bright colors and overly accessorized. A new still is out of leads Zhao Li Ying and Lin Geng Xin in warmer embrace standing in front of a country estate wearing muted … Continue reading →

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

There is a Chinese saying “If you know/knew what will happen, why act like that back then?” (早知如此 何必当初), and it tells people that one should know the consequences will come of actions and yet people still misbehave. With the cancellations of so many Chinese actors (Kris Wu, Deng Lun, Zhang Zhe Han, Li Yun Di) and actresses (Fan Bing … Continue reading →

Li Yi Feng May Actually Be Cancelled After Gossip That He Was Arrested for 15 Days for Going to a Massage Parlor, His Name and Image Has Been Removed From Moon Festival Concert and Awards Organization Sites

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

At this point I don’t know if Mainland Chinese entertainment is The Game of Thrones or The Hunger Games, all I know is that making the money over there is a life and death/cancellation proposition for sure. A few days after it seemed much ado about nothing due to a rumor that C-actor Li Yi Feng missed a CF brand … Continue reading →

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

Well this certainly is much ado about nothing other than annoying devoted fans, for casual C-drama viewers its more like rubbernecking. This week C-actor Wang Yibo is in the news not for his starring role in police procedural Being a Hero with Chen Xiao but for his visuals. Allegations that he’s gotten plastic surgery surfaced again with the drama being … Continue reading →

First Look at Upcoming Xianxia C-drama Till the End of the Moon with Luo Yun Xi and Bai Lu

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

So this drama finished filming earlier this year and with the sudden drops these days of pending dramas I don’t know if it will air before the end of 2022 or end up being a 2023 drama. This summer had two high profile xianxia dramas in Immortal Samsara and Love Between Fairy and Devil so it’s good to wait a … Continue reading →

Steamy Bed Scene Footage Leaks From Upcoming C-drama Nothing But You and Prompts Legal Warning From Wu Lei’s Camp

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

It’s been boiling hot where I live for the past few days, kinda ruined a long weekend with me electing to cancel going out stuff and marinate at home in the AC. But it was still too hot to enjoy prime drama marathoning so I still have plenty to catch up on, but who knew I would already be fanning … Continue reading →

First Look at Liu Shi Shi and Liu Yu Ning in 2023 Wuxia Drama A Journey to Love

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

There is too much background noise with C-ent and if you’re still fan of their production whenever an extraordinary drama or movie is released then please by all means follow along but know it’s a crap shoot. An upcoming C-drama I’m super interested in is A Journey to Love (Chinese title 一念关山 which has the literal meaning One Thought About … Continue reading →
