When Hollywood comes calling for most Asian stars is always an opportunity impossible to pass by. For Park Seo Joon I wished he would have passed right on by the recent MCU movie The Marvels because hoo boy was the movie so chaotic and mediocre (and bombed in its first weekend at the box office) but his role in particular … Continue reading →
So this C-drama has been bandied about for the last two years but the female lead has always been the same with Crystal Liu, one of the top actresses in C-ent and always an S+ first billing in any production. There have been various actors in talks for the drama Chang Ling with Wang Yibo and Allen Ren the most … Continue reading →
So Netflix is borrowing a page from the split airing of The Glory and airing Gyeongseong Creature in two parts but lucky for us viewers the two parts will only be two weeks apart rather than three months again. The first drama poster and teaser preview just dropped and it’s an actual creature feature, all pun aside I didn’t know … Continue reading →
So it looks like many of the on deck period C-dramas from 2023 will air before year ends, likely in a scrum like last week or in succession with what appears to be the timing for A Journey to Love. The spy and politics wuxia drama with Liu Shi Shi and Liu Yu Ning has received its airing permit already … Continue reading →
Last week was a great week for C-drama fans with the release of three new big budget popular leads dramas with different tastes for viewers. In the week since the buzz meter has spoken and it’s modern drama Only for Love with the highest viewership followed by second chance revenge drama Story of Kunning Palace and enemies turned lovers battlefield … Continue reading →
I’m glad this melon got confirmed as quickly as it did because the rumors alone were already causing such a fandom ruckus. Now it’s confirmed the fans can boycott, accept, leave, whatever and the drama can just film along merrily. Period C-drama Flourished Peony will indeed star Yang Zi and Li Xian, one of the most popular C-drama OTPs from … Continue reading →
The MBC weekend old school sageuk romance drama My Dearest has been worthy of its prestige roots and shining through the extraordinary acting of leads Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin. I’ve put this drama on my binge watch list due to being addicted to other dramas during both periods of its split run and now Part 2 is winding … Continue reading →
Netizens are clamoring for the arrival of SBS fantasy romance drama My Demon and I can’t blame them. It looks soooooo up my alley but I’m not dying for it since I have so many other dramas on my plate so yay for that. There are two new character posters and a new preview that has me giggling over the … Continue reading →
So I separate good looking and can act, it’s idea if a star has both assets but one without the other is pretty common especially in C-ent. My personal litmus is whether the performance is at least entertaining for me, but usually when a star can’t act it just isn’t fun to watch. This year in 2023 hotly elevated female … Continue reading →
Can I like this boy even more, it’s hard but he keeps on impressing me with his grit and determination. On the heels of Dylan Wang‘s modern office romance drama Only for Love, which is basically Fifty Shades of Grey without the kinky sex but the same level of brain dead workplace “plot”, the only good thing to come out … Continue reading →
C-actress Yang Zi isn’t just a famous child actor turned into even more famous adult actress and a top liuliang starlet in her own right, she also has the reputation of being a husband maker. That’s a phrase given to wives who after marrying a man he becomes even more successful. It’s kinda shitty in this day and age to … Continue reading →
Okay where I can donate money to make this happen like RIGHT NOW. Because the pairing of Park Bo Young and Jung Hae In in a rom-com seems straight out of fan fiction that I’m not even creative enough to write but will forever thank the drama gods if it existed. She’s a rom-com queen in both dramas and movies … Continue reading →
Well this is a legit competition and I’m glad to see it was a decision made that went down to the final selection. Last week it was announced that Zhou Ye and Cheng Lei would headline the C-drama adaptation of Legend of the Female General based on the novel. She’s been leveling up as the female lead in one drama … Continue reading →
