My hats off to the MBC Fri-Sat drama Wonderful World for being a slow and sure storyteller and getting the recognition. The drama debuted with 5% ratings and the most recent episode 11 got over 11%, doubling the ratings with even room for further growth. Kim Nam Joo is a veteran actress with a track record of good drama selection but Cha Eun Woo has been coasting on good looks with improvement albeit incremental. Seeing this drama do well on its own merits makes me happy for the cast and crew especially the positive reviews for Cha Eun Woo who stepped outside his perfect male lead character and plays a rough and tumble man with a secret. The drama is slated for 14 episodes so get onboard if this revenge and mystery thriller is your jam.

It’s only the 2nd year for the Seoul Awards, sponsored by Sports Seoul, but there must either be great marketing or someone knows all the A-listers because this year’s ceremony was nearly as star-studded as the prestigious Baeksang Awards. The … Continue reading
I feel like I can start copying and pasting from my last two drama award nomination posts since it’s the same few drama names, actors, and actresses making the list. The 2nd annual Seoul Awards assembled by Sports Seoul released … Continue reading

The fashion do’s and don’ts remain my favorite past time for awards shows, mostly because I can’t bother to care about winners that sometimes feel arbitrary or tied to popularity. The 2018 54th Annual Baeksang Arts Awards took place Thursday … Continue reading
The 2018 54th Annual Baeksang Awards nominees are out and honestly each year I care a smidge less because I watch less of all the offerings and also the older one gets the less emotionally invested in these show affairs. … Continue reading
